Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), sliced thin
  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Seasonings & Garnish:

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sauté Garlic and Red Pepper Flakes: In a large skillet, melt 1/2 cup butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
  2. Cook the Steak: Add the thinly sliced steak to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook the Pasta in Beef Broth: Using the same skillet, pour in 4 cups of beef broth and bring it to a boil. Stir in 12 oz of uncooked pasta and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until al dente, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  4. Combine with Parmesan and Steak: Once the pasta is cooked and the broth has reduced slightly, reduce the heat to low. Return the cooked steak to the skillet and stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well until the cheese melts into a creamy sauce that coats the pasta evenly.
  5. Serve & Garnish: Taste the dish and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary. Serve the pasta hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley for added freshness and color.

Notes

  • Use sirloin or ribeye steak for best flavor and tenderness.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to suit your preferred spice level.
  • Make sure to stir the pasta occasionally while cooking to avoid sticking.
  • You can substitute beef broth with chicken broth if desired, though it will alter the flavor.
  • For a creamier sauce, add a splash of heavy cream or additional butter before serving.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stove or microwave.
