Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 can Southern style biscuits, 8 ct.

Sauce & Seasoning

  • 1/2 cup Pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Italian herb mix (a pinch on each mini pizza)

Cheese

  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese or Italian Pizza Cheese Mix

Toppings (optional)

  • Any protein such as mini pepperoni, sausages, deli meat, etc.
  • Black olives, sliced
  • Green pepper, diced
  • Mushrooms, sliced
  • Additional Italian herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare biscuit bases: Split each biscuit in half and use a rolling pin to lightly roll out each piece into a thinner dough circle, resembling a small pizza crust. Place the flattened biscuits evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Prepare toppings: Slice, chop, and dice all your chosen pizza toppings—such as pepperoni, olives, green peppers, and mushrooms—so they are ready to use.
  4. Apply sauce and herbs: Spread a small spoonful of pizza sauce on each biscuit base. Sprinkle about a pinch of Italian herb mix over the sauce on each mini pizza to enhance flavor and aroma.
  5. Add cheese and toppings: Generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella or Italian cheese blend on each biscuit, then layer your choice of prepared toppings evenly on top.
  6. Bake the pizzas: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden brown.
  7. Optional finishing touch: Before serving, sprinkle crushed red chili pepper flakes on top of each mini pizza for a bit of extra heat, if desired.

Notes

  • You can customize the toppings to suit dietary preferences or what you have on hand.
  • Using a rolling pin to flatten the biscuits helps them bake evenly and develop a better ‘crust’.
  • Keep an eye on the baking time as ovens vary; remove once cheese is melted and edges are golden.
  • These mini pizzas are great for parties, snacks, or even a quick meal.
  • To make it vegetarian, omit the meats and add more vegetables.
