Ingredients

Scale

Gelatin Layers

  • 5 packs Flavored Gelatin (any variety of your choice)
  • 5 cups Boiling Water
  • 2.5 cups Cold Water (chilled)

Creamy Layers

  • 1 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk (can be substituted with coconut milk for a dairy-free version)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Gelatin: Dissolve one packet of flavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water by stirring for 2–3 minutes until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  2. Add Cold Water: Stir in ½ cup of chilled cold water into the dissolved gelatin mixture to cool it down slightly.
  3. Set First Layer: Pour this gelatin mixture into an 8″ x 8″ glass dish and refrigerate for about 30 minutes until the layer is fully set and firm.
  4. Prepare Creamy Mixture: In a separate bowl, dissolve another packet of flavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water, then stir in ½ cup of cold water followed by ½ cup of sweetened condensed milk to create a creamy gelatin layer.
  5. Add Creamy Layer: Once the first gelatin layer is completely set, gently pour the creamy mixture over it to avoid mixing layers, then refrigerate again for about 30 minutes until set.
  6. Alternate Layers: Continue alternating between plain flavored gelatin layers and creamy gelatin layers, repeating the previous steps until all gelatin packets and mixtures are used.
  7. Final Setting: After pouring the last creamy layer, refrigerate until fully set, typically about 30 minutes.
  8. Serve: Once all layers are firm, slice the rainbow jello into squares and serve chilled for a colorful party treat.
